Get to know Donna Lee Lamothe, creator of the inSPIRE® discipleship framework, leader of inSPIRE Ministries®, and author of inSPIRE®–Faith for a “Whole” Life.
Today, she leads inSPIRE Ministries® with a focus on equipping believers and Christian leaders across North America to pursue resilient, integrated faith that transforms every area of life and draws others toward faith.
Donna began her career by making history as a member of the first class of women to attend a Canadian military college, earning a Bachelor of Administration and serving as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces for more than a decade.
Following her military service, Donna entered vocational ministry with an international evangelistic organization. She later founded a ministry serving pastors’ wives and ministry couples, and co-planted Sequoia Community Church in Ottawa with her husband, Rick, where she was ordained.
As a Christian author, teacher, and speaker, she has created video and print curriculum for the inSPIRE® journey, written and overseen numerous Bible studies and discipleship resources, and contributed to Every Woman’s Bible. She has served on local, national, and international Christian boards.
She has seen Christian leaders thrive in faithful perseverance and others struggle when their faith becomes fragmented.
Those experiences shaped the development of the inSPIRE® journey, a structured discipleship pathway designed to help believers build a stronger foundation for life.
Donna believes that faith must move beyond inspiration to become a rhythm of life that shapes every aspect of who we are.

Today, Donna and her husband, Rick, live in Canmore, Alberta, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains that vividly depict the SPIRE imagery. There, she is planting inSPIRE® Church with Rick, as Teaching Pastor.
Donna continues to write, teach, lead retreats, and develop resources that help believers pursue wholehearted faith for a “whole” life.
When she is not writing or teaching, she loves to spend her free moments outside in creation, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Her heart runs wild in the world as her adult son and daughter embark on their own journeys of exploration in the United States and Canada.
As ministry needs evolved, new approaches and resources were developed, leading to the formation of inSPIRE Ministries® in 2024.
Today, we carry that legacy forward with a renewed focus: helping people live a whole, integrated life of faith–rooted in historic Christian belief as expressed in the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds.
inSPIRE Ministries® is governed by a Board of Directors. These committed faith leaders give oversight and encouragement to our ministry leader, guide our mission, and ensure accountability for legal and financial matters.
